The Shootout Dance Experience

danceA superior competitive dance team is a result of excellent team work, brilliant choreography, and talented individual dancers. The Shootout Dance Experience is an event designed to showcase each of these components. The Shootout Dance Experience consists of a Studio Shootout, Choreographer Shootout, and Scholarship Shootout, as well as an incredible Shootout Convention. In the Studio Shootout, schools are in intense competition with one other to determine the best overall studio. Each studio will enter their five best routines to combine for one studio composite score. In an exciting twist, the Studio Shootout will be webcasted LIVE and will feature one-of-a-kind online voting! The Choreographer’s Shootout is an incredible opportunity for talented choreographers to showcase their teaching skills in an effort to win a spot on the Shootout faculty for the upcoming season. That’s right choreographers, no trophies, no plaques! You will win a job! In the Scholarship Shootout, individual dancers will be competing to win the coveted “Charley Marie Scholarship”, which includes both classes at Broadway Dance Center in NY and the Millenium Dance complex in LA as well as a scholarship to all the Shootout Conventions the upcoming year. The Shootout Convention features the most sought after master teachers as well as the latest up and coming choreographers on the circuit to make up the hottest faculty in the country.
